Thank you Marty….in someways my heart stopped while reading your beautiful words about Michael…… but also smiled reading about the car…. It was indeed a Mitsubishi.. You described Michael perfectly and again thank you….. He did for sure love you too. Joan Mandala
A very touching account. So sad that cancer took away from such close and loving family and your dear friend.
The account of you travelling around the place in your childhood, reminded me of mine. Although my moves were within a small distance. My mum just loved moving! Starting off in St Albans for me, I had a move 7 times before I was 18! I didn’t have a ‘Mike’, you must be grateful to have had. Now I can’t tell you fully how many times my mum and dad had moved! Your dad will probably recall some! I now describe mum as an Irish tinker!!
Why does the big ‘c’ seem to take the good ones first?

Beautifully written, Martin. Such a lovely ode to your dear friend and a glimpse into your early years.
A wonderful eulogy about a dear friend! Acts of kindness never stop traveling but rather continue to be paid forward.

Great read 💛
Thank you for sharing these sweet memories and for reminding us all to be more like Mike.
